1-to-1 coaching. Proven strategies for all 4 skills.
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world's most recognised English proficiency exam, accepted by over 11,000 organisations in 140+ countries — including universities, employers, immigration authorities, and professional bodies.
Scores are reported on a band scale from 1 to 9. Most candidates aim between Band 5.5 and Band 7.5, depending on their goal. The test covers four skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
Choosing the right module matters. Academic IELTS is required for university study and professional registration. General Training IELTS is used for visa applications, migration, and work purposes.
For candidates applying to undergraduate or postgraduate study, or seeking professional registration with bodies such as medical councils or nursing boards.
For those applying to migrate to an English-speaking country, or seeking secondary education, work experience, or training programmes overseas.
Each skill has its own format, timing, and examiner expectations. We work through every component with targeted strategies.
30–40 minutes of audio across four sections — from everyday conversations to academic lectures. Speed, accuracy, and attention to detail are key.
Three long passages with 40 questions in 60 minutes. Careful time management and targeted reading techniques separate strong from average scores.
Task 1 and Task 2 in 60 minutes. The writing section is where most candidates lose marks — and where coaching makes the biggest difference.
A 11–14 minute face-to-face interview in three parts. Examiners assess fluency, coherence, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
Different goals require different band scores. Here are the most common targets — and what they unlock.
The minimum threshold for certain Tier 5 and spousal visa applications, and some college-level programmes.
Required for UK Skilled Worker, Australia 482, and Canada Express Entry immigration pathways.
The standard requirement for undergraduate admission at most UK, Australian, and Canadian universities.
Required for top-ranked postgraduate courses, medical / legal professional registration, and competitive scholarships.
A clear, structured path from first lesson to exam day — no guesswork, no wasted sessions.
We start with a 45-minute diagnostic session. I assess your current level across all four skills, identify your weakest areas, and explain exactly what it will take to reach your target band.
Based on your diagnostic, I build a bespoke study plan targeting your weakest areas first. Every session has a clear objective, practise tasks, and measurable progress milestones.
Regular 1-to-1 sessions online via Zoom or Google Meet, booked by appointment. Full written feedback on essays and detailed oral debriefs on Speaking. We run mock tests under timed conditions as exam day approaches.
Real results from real students who prepared for IELTS with Jack.
I had already failed IELTS twice before finding Jack. In just two months of weekly sessions, he completely transformed my Writing score — from a 5.5 to a 7.0. His feedback was detailed, honest, and always focused on exactly what the examiner is looking for. I finally got the score I needed for my nursing registration.
Jack's Speaking lessons were a game changer. I used to freeze in Part 3 — I simply didn't know how to develop abstract arguments. After practising with Jack every week, I went into the exam feeling genuinely confident. I got a 7.0 in Speaking and 6.5 overall, which was exactly what I needed for my Canadian PR application.
No commitment. In 45 minutes, I'll assess your current level, pinpoint your weakest skill, and tell you exactly what it'll take to hit your target band.
